The ultimate multimedia block party is coming to Midtown.
Captain America, Peppa Pig, Jimmy Smits and the real Stanley Cup will be on hand this weekend for PaleyWKND, a free, family-friendly street festival of entertainment, media, sports and games. The two-day extravaganza presented by the Paley Center for Media will feature costumed characters, celebrity appearances, immersive and virtual reality experiences, television and film screenings, and interactive presentations from major sports leagues along of 52nd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenue.

“When you talk to New Yorkers about PaleyWKND, the excitement is palpable. New York is back and, as the media capital of the world, what better way to celebrate than with a world-class event the size of New York. York like PaleyWKND,” Maureen Reidy, president and CEO of the Paley Center for Media, told Daily News.
“We’re taking over 52nd Street and bringing innovative and immersive activations to families and visitors, featuring major sports leagues and more than two dozen world-class brands and organizations, creating a unique experience in a life that is only possible in New York,” Reidy said.
Sports fans young and old can see all four professional championship trophies up close: the MLB Commissioner’s Trophy, the NBA’s Larry O’Brien Trophy, the NHL’s Stanley Cup and the Vince Lombardi Trophy. the NFL, as well as the 56 Super Bowl rings.
